NUTRITIONAL THERAPY:
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance , individual care and wellness. It is an evidence-based approach to maximising one's health potential though individually formulated nutritional and lifestyle changes.
Why Nutritional Therapy?
We are all born with a unique set of genes that make our DNA. But our overall health is not determined just by our genes.... our DNA is only 50% of the equation , environment ( which includes lifestyle) is the other 50% . So, while we cannot change our genetic makeup , we can alter their expression and either ' activate' or 'silence' genes through diet and lifestyle changes , enabling us to affect those genes that cause chronic symptoms and disease.
As a Nutritional Therapist I recognise that every person is unique and therefore has an individual set of dietary requirements. I take into account the unique dietary need of each individual and formulate a personalised diet plan to correct nutrient deficiencies and alleviate health symptoms, such as PMS, gout, high blood pressure , fatigue , skin problems, migraines , insomnia , food cravings , asthma, eczema , arthritis, osteoporosis , bloating , IBS, candida , weight gain, menopause , etc..
